What are desktop notifications?

When you receive a message from Chatwork, by using a function that displays a notification in the Windows tray, you can avoid overlooking a chat.

Desktop notifications can be used with "Google Chrome" browser or "Safari 6" on Mac Mountain Lion.
Please note, notifications are only available when Chatwork is open in your browser, and not when the browser is closed.


 

Using desktop notifications

Find the steps below.

Click [Your name] on the upper right corner of the chat screen and click [Preferences] → [Notification] tab.
Check [Turn on desktop notifications] in desktop notifications and click the [Save] button to save changes.

*To turn off desktop notifications, uncheck [Turn on desktop notifications].

*After setting notifications, when a confirmation for use is displayed at the top of the browser, click [permission].

After settings are complete, a pop-up with be displayed at the bottom right corner of the browser (initially set for the top right corner for Macs).

 

Turn off desktop notifications

Find the steps below.

Click [Your name] on the upper right corner of the chat screen and click [Preferences] → [Notification] tab.
Uncheck [Turn on desktop notifications] in desktop notifications and click the [Save] button to turn off notifications.

 

 

After turning off desktop notifications, turn back on

After turning of desktop notifications, to turn it back on, type the following into the Google Chrome address bar and hit enter.

chrome://settings/contentExceptions#notifications

After hitting enter, notifications exceptions will be displayed, so bring your cursor to Chatwork and click x.
Next, turn on desktop notifications again.


 

Display the message content with desktop notifications

Click [Your name] on the upper right corner of the chat screen and click [Preferences] → [Notification] , check [Include messages within desktop notifications], and click the [Save] button.

 

Set for desktop notifications only when To

Click [Your name] on the upper right corner of the chat screen and click [Preferences] → [Notification] , and check [Notify only when someone mentions you], then click the [Save] button.
